622 prior to screen-printing.Ensuring the board surfaces are clean before printing leads to improved solder joint integrity. The result is greater throughput and a further reduction in process waste. The
622 is installed as a simple attachment to your screen printer.
The unit features four elastomer cleaning rollers that transfer
contaminants from the board onto a pair of adhesive “collection”
rolls. Post-cleaning static neutralisation is incorporated.The

Conveyors from up-line machines feed the board into the driven KSM Super Blue rollers™. Contaminants on the board are picked up by the blue rollers and transferred to the adhesive contaminant collection rolls. The final stage eliminates static on both sides of the cleaned board before it passes into the printer. The unit is mounted on precision slides allowing the Smartclean to be simply and easily accessed for refreshing the adhesive 'contaminant trap' roll. Typically once per shift. The Smartclean 622 is easy to use, featuring simple selection of clean or pass thru mode and selectable roller speed. Optional indicators show cumulative board count and display an alarm beacon when adhesive replenishment is required.
